In the years leading up to the Clone Wars and the fall of the Republic, the Jedi Council consisted of twelve Jedi Masters elected to guide the actions and goals of the Jedi Order.  The Jedi Council had a marvelous chamber, located in one of the outer spires of the Jedi Temple; from this circular chamber, the ring of twelve Jedi held court, monitoring galactic events and contemplating the nature of the Force.  It was the Council that held final authority on Jedi missions on behalf of the Galactic Republic, and on whether prospective candidates were worthy of training.  The Jedi Council, also known throughout the galaxy as the Jedi High Council, consisted of five life-time members, four long-term members, and three limited-term members.

At the time of the Battle of Naboo, the Jedi Council consisted of the following members:

Yoda

Mace Windu

Oppo Rancisis

Plo Koon

Yarael Poof

Eeth Koth

Even Piell

Depa Billaba

Saesee Tiin

The piercing blue eyes of Adi Gallia, a tall human female with a trim build, would command a powerful presence regardless of her strength in the Force.  She bore an exotic beauty, and wore an odd headdress draped with organic tentacles.  The daughter of high-ranking Corellian diplomats, Adi Gallia was highly skilled in politics, research, and acquiring numerous kinds of contacts throughout the galaxy.  In fact, years ago, Jedi Master Even Piell saved her parents from a terrorist strike on Lannik; since that moment, Adi Gallia has held the diminutive Jedi Master in high regards.  The Force runs strongly in her family; unbeknownst to her, a close relative is a fellow Jedi Knight.

Adi Gallia, in addition to being a skillful warrior and teacher, was also a superb pilot.  Unlike many of her fellow Jedi, she adopted an unorthodox reverse one-handed grip when wielding her lightsaber.  When the Republic commissioned a line of starfighters for the Jedi Order, it was Adi Gallia who helped design and test the new spacecraft.  It was thru Adi Gallia's carefully cultivated network of contacts that Chancellor Valorum first learned of the Trade Federation's suspicious activities in the outlying systems of the Republic.  Although renown for her unerring intuition, many talents, and an impressive record of accomplishments, Gallia took the greatest pride in the actions of her apprentice, Siri Tachi.

Shortly after the Battle of Naboo, Adi Gallia and fellow Jedi Master Even Piell were dispatched to Malastare to broker peace talks between Lannik representatives and a group of terrorists; the terrorists were members of the same group that had previously been foiled by Piell all those years ago.  During the Battle of Geonosis, Gallia led a squadron of Jedi Starfighters, including one piloted by Siri, her former Padawan, in the space battle above the planet.

Throughout the Clone Wars, Adi Gallia flew on a number of missions protecting Republic interests; as the leader of Red Squadron, she often found herself fighting against pirate forces prospering during the war years, while escorting Senatorial cruisers.  While searching for the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress, Gallia was aboard the Republic Star Destroyer Intervention, which crashed on the graveyard world of Boz Pity.  On the world's barren surface, General Grievous emerged from a Separatist stronghold and began attacking the small group of Jedi that had survived the crash; although she fought valiantly, the Separatist Commander prevailed and struck down Adi Gallia.

The quiet and soft-spoken Yaddle, a member of the same mysterious species as the revered Jedi Master Yoda, was 477 years of age during the Battle of Naboo; Yaddle was considered young for her species.   However, many legends surrounded the tiny Jedi Master.  Of these, few know which of the many stories that propagate about Yaddle are true, and which are pure myth.  Tales are often told of how she was imprisoned underground on the world of Koda for centuries, and consequently given the nick-name of "The One Below."  Needless to say, Master Yaddle was revered among her fellow Jedi for her degree of patience and discipline.

Yaddle had trained many apprentices in her past, including fellow Council-member Oppo Rancisis.  Her last known Padawan was the vain and confident Empatoiayos Brand, whom she successfully trained to become a Jedi Knight.  Not as martial a figure as her fellow Council-members, Yaddle was the head of the Librarian's Assembly of the Jedi Temple.  She also worked alongside revered Jedi scholars, such as Ashka Boda, in maintaining the Jedi Temple's impressive collection of holocrons, scrolls, and tomes.  Exposure to this obscure degree of knowledge granted Yaddle powers that few can fathom; she was one of the few Jedi entrusted with the dangerous technique of Morichro, a forbidden Jedi art that rapidly slows the body functions of target beings.  When not on Coruscant, Master Yaddle resided at the Jedi training center at Kamparas, offering important lessons to young initiates in the Jedi Order.

About three years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Yaddle, along with Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, was sent to the planet of Mawan.  The planet had been ravaged by a civil war for a decade, and in the process lost all form of government and security.  Control of the planet was in the hands of powerful criminals and their underlings.  While negotiating a planetary cease-fire and peace, Yaddle's work was sabotaged by the most powerful criminal in the system, Granta Omega, a member of a Sith cult, and bitter enemy of the entire Jedi Order.  Granta Omega, in addition to kidnapping young Skywalker, had constructed a biological weapon consisting of deadly dihexalon gas, which he planned to launch into the planet's atmosphere.  Immediately after saving Skywalker, Yaddle placed herself in the airlift-tube that was serving as the missile launcher.  Clinging to the deadly weapon, Yaddle was launched into the planet's atmosphere, where she channeled the Force around her, and was able to absorb the weapon's explosive power and deadly gas into her body.   This heroic course of action, however, cost Yaddle her life; she saved the population of Mawan while sacrificing herself.

Height:  1.98 meters

A contemplative Cerean, humanoids with large conical craniums containing a binary brain, Ki-Adi-Mundi was the sole Jedi Knight to serve on the Jedi Council during the start of his tenure, sitting amongst an assemblage of Jedi Masters.  As a four year old, his raw talents in the Force were discovered by the mysterious Jedi Master known only as the Dark Woman.  Realizing that the galaxy needed protectors to save the innocent, his family allowed Ki-Adi-Mundi to be taken to Coruscant to undergo Jedi training.  Upon entering the larger world of the Jedi, the Jedi Council assigned him to Master Yoda.

Decades later, Ki-Adi-Mundi returned to Cerea to help rid the world of the marauding raiders of Bin-Garda-Zon.  During this time, he became watchman for the Cerean system, observing his peaceful world undergo the growing pains of joining an increasingly advanced and hectic Galactic Republic.   Despite adherence to the Jedi philosophies, Ki-Adi-Mundi was, in his heart, a Cerean.  He followed Cerean custom of polygamous marriage, taking a bond wife, Shea, and four honor wives.  He fathered seven daughters and became a strong community leader.

Around the time of the Battle of Naboo, Ki-Adi-Mundi was embroiled in a political struggle, as proponents of progress sought to change Cerea's serene ways.  One of his daughters, Sylyn, joined the group of radicals, but was placed in danger as she was kidnapped by the criminal gun-runner Ephant Mon.  Tracking them to the planet of Tatooine, Ki-Adi-Mundi discovered the duplicitous involvement of the Trade Federation, and rescued his daughter.  Following his exploits on Tatooine, Ki-Adi-Mundi was invited to permanently join the Jedi Council, filling a space left vacant by the recently deceased Master Micah Giett.

Ki-Adi-Mundi returned to Tatooine, in search of the missing Jedi Master Sharrad Hett.  After searching the deadly desert sands, he found Hett and his son, A'Sharad, living amongst the native Tusken Raiders.  However, the bounty hunter Aurra Sing was tracking Ki-Adi-Mundi's movements, and killed the Jedi Master Sharrad Hett.  Ki-Adi-Mundi then took A'Sharad, the Force sensitive son of Master Hett, as his Padawan and continued the young Jedi's training.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Ki-Adi-Mundi was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship which transported him to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, Ki-Adi-Mundi led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Ki-Adi-Mundi was one of the few survivors.

Height:  1.88 meters

The imposing Saesee Tinn, a powerfully built humanoid with large hands and two down-sweeping horns surrounding his grim face, was an Iktochi hailing from the Iktotch moon.  His Iktotchi heritage granted him strong telepathic abilities, and helming his personal SoroSubb Cutlass-9 craft through the relentless winds of Iktotch taught him unparalleled control.  He received his formal training from Jedi Master Omo Bouri, a famed Wol Cabasshite, who instilled a strong sense of conviction in Saesee Tinn, honing his skill and dedication to the Order to the point that some would describe as fanatical.

After the death of Bouri, his devotion only increased.  The stern, contemplative Jedi often kept to himself, and was never known to take a Padawan.  Saesee Tinn's loner tendencies caused some to privately question his value to the Jedi Council, since his contributions often seemed minimal.  Despite such hushed criticism, he was a formidable warrior and an incredible pilot.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Saesee Tinn was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship which transported him to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, he led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Saesee Tinn was one of the few survivors.

Serving as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic, Saesee Tinn fought valiantly on many fronts throughout the Clone Wars.  His unique skills made him the obvious choice to serve as the official liaison between the Jedi Council and Freedom's Sons, a growing mercenary group that aided the Jedi Order during the war.  As the war progressed, Tinn found himself at odds with the Jedi Council on more than one occasion; he personally championed some of the more unorthodox tactics and combatants, including vouching for both Quinlan Vos and Anakin Skywalker.  At the time of the Battle of Coruscant, Saesee Tinn accompanied Jedi Masters Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, and Kit Fisto to arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.  As the Jedi barged into Palpatine's private office, he dropped the guise of harmless politician and revealed himself to be Darth Sidious; Saesee Tinn was killed by the Sith Lord within moments.

Homeworld:  Chalacta

Species:  Chalactan

Gender:  Female

Height:  1.68 meters

At the age of six months, the orphaned Depa Billaba was rescued by Jedi Master Mace Windu when her family was murdered by space pirates; sensing her Force potential, Windu brought her to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi.  Years later, Depa Billaba became a Padawan learner of Windu, who often looked on her as both daughter and student.  In honor of her slain parents, she has embraced the traditional culture of her homeworld of Chalacta; adorning the bridge of her nose are Chalactan marks of Illumination, testaments to her spirituality.  The Force runs strongly in her family; unbeknownst to her, a close relative is a fellow Jedi Knight.

Depa Billaba, one of the Jedi Council's youngest members, was attuned to the minds and personalities of many of her peers in the Jedi Order.  Shortly after attending a funeral service for fellow Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn, she accompanied her former Master to the smuggler's moon of Nar Shadda, where the duo uncovered and disrupted an illegal animal trade involving akk dogs, the deadly, yet beloved predators native to the homeworld of Master Windu, Haruun Kal.  During the Battle of Geonosis, Depa Billaba remained at the Jedi Temple and cared for the Younglings.

A few months after the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Depa Billaba was sent on a peacekeeping mission to Haruun Kal, a strategic system in the Geyarno Loop, which connects numerous Separatist systems together.  During the four months spent training resistance tactics to native forces, she had no contact with the Jedi Council.  Shortly after the Separatists temporarily moved off-planet, a disturbing message was sent to Coruscant, which implicated her in the torture and murder of numerous civilians.  In response, the Jedi Council elected to send her former Master, Mace Windu, to gather more information and insight into the actions of his former Padawan.

While on the jungle planet of Haruun Kal, Depa Billaba discovered that death was an all-too-common daily occurrence, and that her very survival required her to slip towards the Dark side; it was a world in which one could kill or be killed.  As she confronted her former mentor, she revealed that the nightmarish combination of the ongoing war and the darkness of the jungle had changed her.  To complete her mission, she could no longer be a Jedi; a Jedi could not commit the acts necessary to complete the mission and still call themselves a Jedi.  She informed her former Master that she could not return to Coruscant, for she was no longer a Jedi.  Mace Windu disagreed.  In a state of mental and physical anguish, Depa Billaba attempted to kill her former Master, and fell into a coma.  Mace Windu returned her to the Jedi Temple to be kept under watch; upon her awakening, Depa Billaba will be tried for war crimes and treason against the Republic.

Homeworld:  Lannik

Species:  Lannik

Gender:  Male

Height:  1.22 meters

Even Piell, a small humanoid with pink skin and large drooping ears, hailed from Lannik, a planet long plagued by violence.  Long ago, Corellian diplomats attempted to help the struggling world, but were ambushed by Red Iaro terrorists in the heart of the Lannik High Court.  Coming to their rescue, the dimunitive Jedi Master single-handedly defeated the terrorists, although he lost his left eye in the ensuing melee.  Fellow Jedi Master Adi Gallia, the daughter of the diplomats, had long felt indebted to Piell.  Even Piell, humorless and fierce, refused medical attention from his wounds, and carried his scar as a badge of pride and symbol of honor, bravery, and persistence.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Even Piell was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship which transported him to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, he led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Even Piell was one of the few survivors.

Homeworld:  Nar Shadda

Species:  Iridonian Zabrak

Gender:  Male

Height:  1.71 meters

Eeth Koth, though a Zabrak, did not hail from the planet Iridonia; instead, he was born in the squalor of Nar Shadda, the smuggler's moon orbiting the Hutt-controlled planet of Nal Hutta.  His Force potential was initially discovered when he was four years old.  Being brought before the Jedi Council, Eeth Koth was first deemed to old to begin Jedi training; however, his remarkable mental discipline convinced the Council otherwise, and he was accepted into the Jedi Order.

Like his fellow Zabrak, Eeth Koth was a humanoid whose face was etched with simple tattoos, while a crown of vestigial horns sprouted from his skull.  His raw physical abilities and mental disciplines were honed during his Jedi training, and he became renown within the Jedi Order for his seemingly interminable willpower and endurance to physical pain.  After attaining the title of Jedi Knight, Eeth Koth selected Sharrad Hett to become his Padawan learner.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Eeth Koth was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship to provide him with transport to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Unfortunately, Eeth Koth and fellow Jedi Tarados Gon were killed when the Gunship was destroyed by Separatist Forces.

Homeworld:  Quermia

Species:  Quermian

Gender:  Male

Height:  2.64 meters

Yarael Poof's appearance would be comical to most, if not for the powerful presence in the Force he exuded.  A life-time member of the Jedi Council, he was a tall being with spindly limbs and a long, slender neck which supported a bulbous head.  Hidden beneath his traditional Jedi robes were four delicate arms which granted him remarkable dexterity.  Like his fellow Quermians, a race of sentient invertebrates, Yarael Poof had two brains: one located inside his skull, and the other located in his chest cavity.

A cunning Jedi Master, Yarael Poof was a master of the Jedi mind trick, and could use the Force to quickly befuddle and mislead targets by conjuring false images in their minds.  Although this was his preferred method of combat, Yareal Poof, like all Jedi, still carried a lightsaber.

About five years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Yarael Poof volunteered to take part in an important mission that was to be handled personally by members of the Jedi Council.  A radical Annoo-Dat, General Ashaar Khorda, had obtained an extremely powerful weapon, capable of destroying an entire planet, and was planning a terrorist strike on the very heart of the Galactic Republic.  The general and his weapon, a native artifact from the Seylott System, were also being tracked by bounty hunters Zam Wesell and Jango Fett.  Yarael Poof tracked General Khorda to the deep, underworld levels of Coruscant, where he briefly joined forces with the two bounty hunters.  Together, they overcame General Khorda and his hired mercenaries.  Although the idol had already been activated, Yarael Poof used the Force to bind together the idol's energies once again, and in effect deactivated the terrible weapon.  This heroic course of action, however, cost Yareal Poof his life; he saved Coruscant while sacrificing himself.

Homeworld:  Dorin

Species:  Kel Dor

Gender:  Male

Height:  1.88 meters

A well-muscled humanoid form, Plo Koon was a Kel Dor hailing from the planet Dorin, whose physiology was such that he wore protective goggles and his face-concealing mask whenever in oxygen-rich environments.  As a Kel Dor, he naturally possessed highly developed extrasensory organs that supplemented his already formidable Jedi attributes.  The Force runs strongly in Plo Koon's family; he was a descendent of a long line of Jedi.

Plo Koon shared a long history with fellow Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and the two have fought beside each other often in battle.  He had hoped to see his friend join the Jedi Council, but Jinn's maverick views, and his untimely death at the hands of the Sith Lord Darth Maul, kept him from ascending to that position.  Plo Koon was more martial a Jedi than most; Dorin natives have a reputation for seeing moral issues in black and white, with clear distinctions between right and wrong.  As such, he often took decisive action with little contemplation.  This initiative served him well during the Stark Hyperspace Wars, when he took up the Galactic Republic banner after a great Jedi Master was killed.  Plo Koon rallied the disheartened troops to an unlikely and miraculous victory.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Plo Koon was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship which transported him to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, he led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Plo Koon was one of the few survivors.

Homeworld:  Thisspias

Species:  Thisspiasian

Gender:  Male

Height:  1.38 meters

Oppo Rancisis, a former student of former Jedi Council member Yaddle, was a well-respected Jedi Master known throughout the Order for his unerring tactical mind and military expertise.  His familial heritage earned him the title of Blood Monarch of Thisspias, though he denied the position, choosing instead to devote his life to the ways of the Force.  His elegant strategies have allowed the Jedi to emerge victorious from several large-scale conflicts; most notably, he served as a fleet battle strategist during the bloody Stark Hyperspace Wars.

Oppo Rancisis was a master of Malacia, a Jedi technique that induces a powerful dizziness and nausea in opponents; it is completely incapacitating, but does not cause any lasting physical damage.  For over two decades, he has taught this technique in the Jedi Temple, but few other Jedi have come close to mastering this discipline near his level of proficiency.

During the Battle of Naboo, Oppo Rancisis was 174 standard years old; and incredibly ancient age for a Thisspiasian.  Although one of the more conservative members of the Jedi Council, as far as Jedi traditions and tenets of the Jedi Code were concerned, Oppo Rancisis softened his stand when it became clear the demands of the Clone Wars often superseded antiquated traditions of the Jedi Council.  During one such instance, Rancisis accepted the rogue Jedi Quinlan Vos back into the Jedi Order.

During the Clone Wars, Oppo Rancisis was placed in command of the Republic operations of Saluecami; his mission was to destroy a Confederacy cloning operation involving Morgukal warriors.  Rancisis, with Quinlan Vos as his second-in-command, led three battalions throughout the prolonged siege.  Although the Republic, after five long months of grueling warfare, was ultimately victorious, Oppo Rancisis was killed by the traitorous Jedi Sora Bulq.

A Togruta, a humanoid species from the planet Shili, Shaak Ti was an exotic alien female with colorful patterning decorating her flexible lekku.  To protect themselves from the dangerous predators of their homeworld, the Togruta would band together in dense tribes and rely on their disruptive natural pigmentation patterns to confuse the predatory beasts.  Shaak Ti, a notable exception to the communal-minded Togruta, preferred to operate alone.  Nevertheless, her heritage was evident in the accuracy and agility she displayed when moving and fighting in bustling crowds.  Aiding in her perception of her surroundings are hollow spaces in her montrals that gather information ultrasonically.

As a Jedi Master, Shaak Ti trained two Padawans, but sadly, both fell victim to criminal killers shortly after their passing of the Jedi trials.  Always a calm voice of reason, she never held a grudge against anyone, not even those who killed her former Padawans.  In fact, during the Battle of Brentaal IV, working alongside Lyshaa, the woman who had killed one of her former students, she led a sabotage mission which turned the tide of the battle.  However, ignoring Shaak Ti's insisting, repeated claims that she did not seek vengeance, the woman committed suicide shortly after the battle.

About three years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Shaak Ti was selected to replace Master Yaddle, after her untimely death on the planet Mawan, on the Jedi Council.  During the Battle of Geonosis, Shaak Ti was dispatched to the Arena, where she fought valiantly with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, she boarded a Republic Gunship which transported her to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, she led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Shaak Ti was one of the few survivors.

Serving as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic, Shaak Ti fought valiantly on many fronts throughout the Clone Wars.  She coordinated the surface defense of Kamino while approving activation of the elite ARC Troopers, escaped the murderous clutches of General Grievous during the Battle of Hypori, and led a small platoon of clonetroopers during the Battle of Brentaal IV.  At the time of the Battle of Coruscant, Shaak Ti was assigned to oversee operations in the Jedi Temple.  The 501st Legion, under the command of Darth Vader, set siege on the Jedi Temple, gutting it with laser fire; Shaak Ti was killed in the onslaught.

Homeworld:  Sembla

Species:  Vurk

Gender:  Male

Height:  2.13 meters

Coleman Trebor, a male Vurk from the watery world of Sembla, joined the Jedi Council after the death of life-term member Yarael Poof.  A reptilian humanoid with an elongated face, Coleman Trebor possessed dark eyes and a sweeping crest that extended from his skull.  Although a Vurk, a species known throughout the galaxy as being primitive and nomadic, his wisdom and insight were greatly revered by his fellow Jedi.  Coleman Trebor was a noted speaker and diplomat, and often acted as the "voice" of the Jedi Council; it was he who dealt with the Senate and galactic media agents on behalf of the Jedi Order.  He peacefully settled a number of major inter-planetary disputes, and was considered more of a negotiator than a combatant.

Still, when required to do so, Coleman Trebor brandished his lightsaber in the defense of the Republic.  When a Jedi taskforce was needed to rescue Senator Padme Amidala, and fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and face a dangerous Separatist movement gearing for war, he was one of the Jedi Masters that voyaged to Geonosis.  Upon arriving in the Arena, Coleman Trebor attempted to confront Count Dooku, the former Jedi and leader of the Separatists.  However, having little experience  in the ways of combat, he was callously shot and killed by Dooku's top mercenary, the bounty hunter Jango Fett.

Homeworld:  Glee Anselm

Species:  Nautolan

Gender:  Male

Height:  1.96 meters

An amphibious Nautolan from the Sabilon region of watery Glee Anselm, Kit Fisto joined the Jedi Council after the death of life-term member Coleman Trebor.  A striking example of an alien Jedi, Kit Fisto had large, unblinking eyes, and a gathered tangle of flexible tentacle-tresses that contained highly sensitive olfactory receptors, allowing him to detect pheromonal expressions of emotion and other changes in body chemistry.  Like all Nautolans, he could live in either air or water.  Kit Fisto was an extremely powerful swimmer, and honed his Jedi abilities to take advantage of his aquatic origins; he had perfected difficult Force techniques that manipulated the movement of water for both defensive and offensive use.

Always a Jedi Master of renown, Fisto served as mentor to the Mon Calamari pupil, Eerin Bant, former Padawan of the late Master Tahl.  He was also co-leader of a Jedi task force that was established to vanquish the Iridium pirates in the Atrivis sector.  Though a radical combatant with unorthodox fighting methods, Fisto was conservative-minded when it came to galactic politics.  His close friendship and concern for fellow Jedi Aayla Secura occasionally pressed against the rules forbidding attachment; they shared a deep respect for one another that, had they been outside the Jedi Order, perhaps may have evolved into something else.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Kit Fisto was dispatched to the Arena, where he fought heroically with many members of the Jedi Order in the rescue of fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padme Amidala.  During the evacuation of the Arena, he boarded a Republic Gunship which transported him to the larger battle erupting across the planet's surface.  Once there, Kist Fisto led units of clonetroopers into the thick of combat.  Although many members of the Jedi Order met their deaths on the war-scorched flats of Geonosis, Kit Fisto was one of the few survivors.

Serving as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic, Kit Fisto fought valiantly on many fronts throughout the Clone Wars.  Placed in command of the Mon Calamari campaign,, he led aquatic clonetroopers partnered with local Mon Cal forces in battling the Separatist-backed Quarren Isolationist League.  Fisto was later involved in major engagements on both Devaron and Ord Cestus.  At the time of the Battle of Coruscant, Kit Fisto accompanied Jedi Masters Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tinn to arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.  As the Jedi barged into Palpatine's private office, he dropped the guise of harmless politician and revealed himself to be Darth Sidious; Kit Fisto was killed by the Sith Lord within moments.
